Epic Motorsports software increases power and torque output, smooths power delivery, and improves part-throttle drivability. This version of Epic software is designed for race cars running with headers, cat-delete or sport cats, and the secondary air pump and evaporation systems removed. Race cars built for racing use require specialized software to operate properly and this software tune has been professionally developed by the Epic and BimmerWorld racing teams. ECU tuning modifies the data in the engine computer (ECU). Ignition timing tables, fuel injection, camshaft timing and VANOS, and other data is changed to make more power reliably and without affecting the durability of the engine. This is dyno-developed and race-proven power gains engineered in-house on the Epic and BimmerWorld dynos. In addition to the engine tuning, the rev limit is raised to 7,000 RPM and the top speed limiter is raised/eliminated. Race software is available as either 91 or 93 minimum octane ratings. Additional timing advance on 93 will result in slightly more power but will have less knock resistance in extreme temperatures. The 91 setting may be best for hot climates where too much timing in extreme temps may result in engine knock.

Our software is installed via a D-CAN cable (included) and your Windows laptop (compatible with XP, Win7, Win8, and Win10). The D-CAN cable is included at this price. Read and email your stock file and a tuned file will be returned to you. This is better than off-the-shelf tunes that never look at your original software.

Because Epic software is custom and made using only your original file (not a pre-configured file sitting on a shelf) this product applies to all 2001-2006 E46 325i/330i, including both MS43 and MS45 computers. Your tuned file will be correct for either ECU as it's based on your original file.

Epic Updates/Revisions: Epic includes 1 revised flash at no charge with your order. If you decide the file needs a change, such as the throttle is too sensitive or you want a new rev limit, Epic will reflash the ECU with a revised tune at no charge. If the new file has an advertised price higher than your original purchase you will only be responsible for the price difference.

It is not legal for installation or use on any pollution controlled motor vehicle in any state, province, or jurisdiction governed by, or which has adopted, CARB or EPA regulations. BimmerWorld may confirm a customer's racing license, entry, track participation, and we may ask for photos or proof of a permanent race car build.
