Our BimmerWorld/Epic Motorsports S54 Standalone Conversion kit allows you to swap an S54 engine into anything from race cars to street cars. The factory ECU is purpose-built to run this engine, and it's the most refined for the task by far. 

This doesn't allow user tuning, but you also don't need to hire a tuner to babysit your ECU at the track or to get it started on a cold morning - there are compensation tables built in for almost every condition. We also retain both drive-by-wire and dual-VANOS, so your engine runs optimally, making the most power possible at all RPMs and with smooth throttle application that a manual throttle conversion will not allow.

Our BimmerWorld/Epic kit includes ECU modification (your ECU is required),  a drive-by-wire pedal cable, and a pigtail with all wires labeled for wiring into the chassis is included, with wires for:

  • Power
  • Ground
  • RPM
  • Fuel pump relay trigger
  • Diagnostic pin
  • CAN low/high (if needed - AiM data typically)

Please allow 2-3 weeks for modification. You will no longer have cruise control or AC compressor wiring, but they can be manually switched if needed. While you will be able to read diagnostic codes through an OBD-II port that you can install separately (port not included), you will not be able to pass emissions in states that plug into the OBD-II connector.

We do not include technical assistance for installing an S54 engine in your car with the purchase of this kit. Due to the wide range of wiring schematics for the array of BMW models this swap can be installed in, you will need a wiring diagram for your car - we do not include wiring instructions. 

Price does not include the required standalone conversion-specific software.  The Standalone ECU Conversion specifically disables the EWS system on your ECU, but it does not program the software to remove the other items needed to run the ECU in a non-E46 M3 car.  We recommend Epic Motorsports calibrations for the most power from this system.

We reserve the right to cancel part(s) that are not for legitimate racing or track purposes. Some suppliers have shipping exceptions to certain states or territories, requiring extra delivery time.
