CSF Twin-Charge Air-Cooler Upgrade Set - F10 M5, F13 M6
Larger cores have much greater surface area to battle heat.
It's easy to make more boost and more power in a turbocharged engine like the S63TU - until other components show their weaknesses. The stock BMW charge air-coolers on the F10 M5 and F06/F13 M6 are decent enough for maintaining intake air temps on a stock engine (though there's still room for improvement). But adding more boost will raise intake air temps and lead to fuel and timing adjustments that could actually reduce power levels! If your boost upgrades are not living up to expectations it could be the rest of your system letting your down.
The CSF Intercooler for the M5/M6 is a pair of water:air intercoolers with cores that are 28% larger than the stock factory pieces. This maximizes the available surface area that the air is exposed to for cooling. No modifications are needed for installation. It uses all of the factory connections and install points for a plug and play fitment. 3D scanning and rapid prototyping allowed CSF to take advantage of the available space. These were co-developed with Pure Turbos for their world-record M5 build. Additional ports are included for methanol system. CSF includes a lifetime warranty from defects.
