This fitting was used on the first generation BMW X5 with the M54 six cylinder engine and the Automatic transmission. This generation of BMW X5 is known as the E53 chassis, and the 3.0i 6 cylinder model was offered in model years 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. 

For Automatic Transmission models ONLY. Though fairly rare, the X5 3.0i was offered with a manual transmission, and this fitting is NOT for those models as they did not use this.
