Coolant Hose, Low Temp Cooling Module, BMW - E82, E9X Automatic (N51, N52)

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 17127540020 (17 12 7 540 020) and is described as the hose from the lower radiator port to the water pump outlet hose. This is used on E82 128i and E9X 325i/328i/330i with automatic transmission.

The "Low Temp Cooling Module" is another term for a radiator. The radiator on automatic transmission models is partitioned with an upper main radiator and a lower radiator used to cycle coolant through a heat exchanger (automatic transmission cooling or engine oil cooling).

Rubber hoses are ideal when new, as they allow some movement and flexibility during driving. The only problem is that they begin to degrade as they age and can eventually fail. The plastic clips and metal retaining clamps on hoses are stronger but they are only really good for one-time use. Once removed they never seem to seal as well, leading to a leak soon after. We highly recommend that you replace your hoses as a preventative measure before they fail in order to save you from further headaches and expenses.
