Coolant leaks in the "valley" between cylinder banks on the N62 V8 are very common. The pipe that carries coolant from the front of the engine to the rear will leak from the front seal onto the valley pan and engine block. If an N62 has not had its coolant pipe replaced it will need it at some point. Fixing the leak is a very intense project that involves removing the intake manifold, valve covers, and most of the top end of the engine. The good news is that the repair procedure will usually solve multiple other leaks or problems at the same time.
