This hose runs from the cylinder head to the thermostat, and is designed to be an improvement over the standard BMW hose part number 11537591889 (11-53-7-591-889), which is a coolant / water hose for N55 powered BMW F25 X3 35i xDrive (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017), and F26 X4 35i/M40i xDrive (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018).
Rather than using a plastic hose connector, URO has redesigned this hose to use an upgraded METAL flange connector. This is important as the original plastic version is known to get brittle, crack and leak with age and repeated heat cycles. This is something that won't happen on a metal connector, making this URO Premium replacement a nice upgrade over the standard hose.
If you are replacing a thermostat, we highly recommend replacing this hose at the same time.
