OEM Water Pump/Thermostat Kit - F25 X3 & F26 X4 (N55 Engine)

Replace your turbo BMW's electric water pump BEFORE it experiences catastrophic failure! This OEM service kit contains the recommended components for replacement of the water pump and coolant thermostat on 2011-2017 F25 X3 35i and 2015-2018 F26 X4 35i/M40i models.

• Water Pump Mounting Screws (not re-usable)
• OEM Mahle-Behr Thermostat
• Genuine BMW Coolant Hose (Pump to Tstat)
• Hose Clamps for Coolant Hose Connections (3x)

BMW N55 engines use an electric coolant pump to reduce emissions and make the engine more efficient. Pumps driven from the main drive belt used up fuel which made for more emissions. Electric pumps only work when they are needed and only require the alternator to supply power. Because the engine computer regulates engine temperatures, the water pump only needs to work when it has to (including after the car has been turned off). In theory this should make the pump last longer. But it's the electronics inside that fail and will force a replacement, often without warning. Depending on operating conditions the engine may go into limp mode and require a tow! Although if you are religious about oil changes and checking/clearing fault codes you may get a soft (hidden) code for low water pump output ahead of time.

This package is made up of all OE or OEM replacement water pump and thermostat parts for models with the N55 "Twin Power" single turbo engine. This kit does not include the water hose connecting the pump to the thermostat (it's not always needed). We favor OE and OEM parts to cheaper alternatives because of better build quality and a two year warranty (most aftermarket brands only give one year).
