Nissens is a high quality radiator manufacturer who produces radiators and other cooling components for European car manufacturers like BMW. If your classic E34 5 series 525i (1989-1990 manual transmission, or 1993-1995 automatic transmission) is in need of a radiator, this is one of the brands we recommend for both quality and affordability.
This radiator has a particular list of fitments that you should definitely double check!
- On early 525i models (1989 and 1990) this radiator only fits cars with Manual transmission.
Not for manual transmission after 1990.
- On later 525i model (1993, 1994, 1995) this radiator only fits cars with Automatic transmission.
Not for automatic transmission before 1993.
The reason for the above fitment peculiarity is that this radiator has a second loop and fittings for another oil-to-air cooling need. The needs and uses changed, so you need to order carefully to make sure you get the right radiator for your E34 525i.
This radiator has been listed as three different BMW part numbers which include 17111737760 (17 11 1 737 760), as well as BMW part number 17111737763 (17 11 1 737 763) or 17101247376 (17 10 1 247 376), which are interchangeable for this same radiator fitment.
