Environmental Air Catalyst Sensor for Radiator - N26 SULEV, F22 F30 F32 F34 F36

The radiator used on F22/F3X N26 SULEV models contains an Environmental Air Catalyst sensor that BMW does not sell separately. This sensor is part of the SULEV emissions equipment on N26-powered 228i, 328i, and 428i models. As many owners have found out, BMW simply will not sell the replacement sensor alone. This URO Parts EAC sensor is a cost-effective solution, saving you from buying a complete radiator just to fix a bad sensor.  

This part is listed as part number 17118672106R and is described as URO Parts EAC (Environmental Air Catalyst) Sensor for BMW F30 328i SULEV  (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016), F22/F23 228i N26 SULEV (2014, 2015, 2016), F32 428i N26 SULEV (2014, 2015, 2016), F36 428i xDrive Gran Coupe (2015-2016). The engine code on these SULEV engines is N26B20A, which all came with 8-speed automatic transmissions.  

Note: Not ALL 228/328i/428i models came with the N26 SULEV. SULEV stands for Super-Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle. Cars offered and sold in 13 states likely came with the SULEV designation, which can usually be found on the original window sticker, registration, inspection, or insurance information. Those states are California, New York, Massachusetts, Arizona, Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington and the District of Columbia).
