Red Line Water Wetter is a super-coolant that was developed to reduce coolant temps, especially in the cylinder head. Straight water or a water-coolant mix is often the cause of localized hot spots. Localized high temps, such as those around the combustion chamber, can lead to pinging or detonation even if the rest of the cooling system shows as normal. On cars with knock detectors this will reduce engine timing and power output. Water Wetter is essential for any street, tuned, drag, drift, track, or race car that expects to get the most power at high RPM and high temps.

Water Wetter is to be used as an additive to distilled water. Replace coolant volume with Water Wetter*. Use 1 ounce of Water Wetter for every quart/liter of water/coolant or include 4 ounces of Water Wetter (1/3 of the bottle) with every gallon of water/coolant you put in. Most BMWs have a total cooling capacity just over 2 gallons so you shouldn't need more than one bottle.

Water Wetter is compatible with new or used antifreeze. It's safe for use with all modern aluminum, cast iron, copper, brass and bronze cooling systems and reduces rust buildup, surface corrosion and slows electrolysis. For maximum corrosion protection it should be replenished or replaced every 15,000 miles.

  • Improves heat transfer and reduces cylinder head temperature
  • Reduces or eliminates bubbles or vapor barrier that creates localized high temps
  • May allow more spark advance for increase power and efficiency
  • Reduce coolant temps by up to 20°F
  • Compatible with all types of coolant and antifreeze (contains no ethylene glycol)
  • Safe for use with all modern aluminum, cast iron, copper, brass and bronze cooling systems
  • Cleans and lubricates water pump seals
  • Does not significantly reduce coolant freeze point
  • 12oz bottle treats 3-5 gallons of water/coolant

*Cars that see freezing temps or still retain the air conditioning system must continue to use coolant that contains antifreeze. But the volume of coolant can be reduced and replaced with Water Wetter. For cars that don't see freezing temps, have no A/C, and have regular thorough maintenance (such as a properly maintained race car), you can run with straight distilled water and Water Wetter. Most racetracks prohibit coolant and antifreeze anyway and since Water Wetter contains no ethylene glycol it's ideal as a track-replacement coolant.

12 ounce bottle size. 1 ounce of Water Wetter is used for every quart/liter of water/coolant or one full bottle treats 3 gallons of water/coolant (most BMWs have a total cooling capacity just over 2 gallons). Also available pre-mixed with distilled water in a half-gallon size.
