Rowe Hightec AN coolant is approved BMW and meets N600690 standards. Rowe is one of the original suppliers to BMW for antifreeze coolant and it's Made in Germany. Hightec AN is based on mono ethylene glycol and is free of nitrite, amine, and phosphate. It's a blue color to conform with BMW and DOT requirements. Rowe AN coolant has been specifically developed for use with aluminum and plastic cooling systems. At a 50/50 mix it has a higher boiling point than standard BMW coolant.
All BMW coolant must be mixed with distilled water. For maximum protection, mix 1:1 with distilled water (see the chart below). Most BMW cooling systems take 8 or more liters of coolant. Rowe coolant is old in 1 gallon jugs (1 gallon = 4 quarts = 3.785 liters).
|Frost Protection||Quarts of Hightec AN||Quarts of Distilled Water|
* - makes slightly over 8 liters so you will have some left over.
** - makes 7.6 liters so is slightly less than typically required. Adding more water to make up the difference will raise the freeze point.
