Water Pump Bolt Kit, Rein - N51/N52 and some N54 6 Cylinder

Replacement one-time use bolts needed for a water pump replacement on the N51, N52 (naturally aspirated) and some N54 (Twin turbo) engines. To reduce overall weight (and improve fuel economy and emissions) BMW used a lot of hollow bolts on their engines. These can only be used once as they stretch during proper tightening. Any time the water pump is removed on E82, E90, E92, E60, E70, E71, E85, and E89 6-cylinder models these bolts must be replaced.

Note: most new water pumps will include new bolts.

This is an OEM water pump bolt set manufactured by Rein - an original supplier to BMW for many other engine components.
