This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 33176760337 (33 17 6 760 337) and is described as the grade 10.9 M12x1.5x80mm mounting bolt for the front mount of the rear differential on F87 M2, E36, E46, F80, F82, E83, E85, and E89 models. This is the factory-recommended upgrade for the failure-prone original diff bolt on the E36. It's also the pinch bolt for the front strut on E60 525xi/528xi/530xi/535xi models.

If this bolt snapped we strongly urge you to check the condition of your front diff mount. It may be too worn out, causing too much flex and deflection, which will snap the bolt. Upgrade the diff mount to urethane or Delrin and avoid future trouble.
