There's one of these used per car, and it's purpose is for differential / diff mounting. If you are replacing the hardware in either your rear diff or rear subframe on your S54 powered E46 M3 or E85/E86 Z4 M, you may want to add this to your list. This front bolt is known to snap in some cases! This replacement bolt is a Grade 10.9 for strength due to the stress it is subjected to.
