Mechatronix Connector Sealing Sleeve - ZF 6-sp Auto Transmissions

This is the electronic plug connector used on ZF 6-speed automatic transmissions that is a common source for oil leaks. The seal around the connector goes bad and allows oil to leak out. If you check your automatic transmission housing and see an oil stain around the connector, it needs replacement. If oil is allowed to pool inside the connector it can lead to Mechatronix electronic failure, a much more costly repair.

The connector is best replaced when performing a fluid change when the transmission oil pan is removed anyway.

This part is manufactured by an aftermarket supplier of European auto parts, including many maintenance components. While not carrying OEM status, this part follows the design of the original very closely and uses similar materials. An aftermarket part may even have the same TUV approval as its OEM counterpart. The brand may even be OEM to another manufacturer besides BMW. This aftermarket brand has a two year warranty - the same as Genuine BMW and OEM brands.
