Mechatronics Valve Body Kit (Rebuilt) - E60 550i, E63 650i, E70 X5, E71 X6 (GA6HP26Z)

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 24007571248 (24 00 7 571 248) and is described as a remanufactured Mechatronics / Valve Body unit for the GA6HP26Z ZF 6-speed automatic transmission. This was used on E60 550i, E63 650i, E70 X5 3.5d and 4.8i (from 1/2007 production date), and E71 X6 50i xDrive (up to 4/2010 production date).

Kit includes the valve body (Mechatronics unit), connector sleeve, oil pan, and filter.

This is a rebuilt/remanufactured Mechatronic Unit by ZF. ZF uses original BMW cores as the basis for a complete rebuild. The original is completely disassembled, thoroughly cleaned and de-greased, any worn or unusable parts are replaced, and then the unit is re-assembled using all new seals, bushings, cleaned and chased threaded holes, and new hardware. The new assembly is then pressure-tested and inspected before being signed off by their quality-assurance staff. The rebuilt part you receive is equal to a new original in all respects but at a much lower cost. A two year warranty is included, the same as with a new part. Rebuilding original hard parts by only replacing the "soft" components keeps the final purchase price low. If new housings or brackets had to be manufactured the final price would be much higher and be a waste of resources. Re-usable cores helps keep the market price for replacement parts low.
