Transmission Mount, BMW - E9X M3, E6X M5/M6

On the S65 V8 and S85 V10 model BMWs, the transmission mounts must both bear the weight of the entire transmission as well as hold up under enthusiastic driving. Unfortunately, rubber is a material that is a compromise between low cost/comfort and performance. 

If you are doing any service work around the transmission on a 2008-2013 M3 or 2006-2010 M5 or M6, such as a short shifter, transmission fluid service, clutch, etc, consider replacing your rubber mounts to maintain optimal performance. 

This mount was used on 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 model BMW M3 (including E90 M3 sedan, E92 M3 coupe, and E93 M3 convertible), as well as 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 model BMW M5 sedan and BMW M6 coupe. This includes manual transmission, SMG-III (SMG3) and dual clutch transmission (DCT) options.
