Relocating the E46 SMG pump and motor is thought it improve service life by moving it away from the engine block, starter, and transmission, where heat is believed to be a prime cause for motor and pump failure.
This bracket kit allows you to mount the SMG pump and control unit to the passenger-side storage bin under the hood. MLR or custom lines and wiring harness are required. This is only for cars that do not have the ABS pump in the same passenger-side storage bin (cars built before 9/2002 will have the ABS pump there instead). This relocation bracket is intended for use on cars that did not have the ABS unit on the passenger side of the engine bay.
