Front Wheel Bearing, OEM - E60 525i/528i/535i/545i/550i, E63 645ci/650i

The Front Hub and Wheel Bearing isn't something most people think about until it's time to replace them. They generally work seamlessly... Until they don't. If you've noticed a groaning from one or both of the front wheels on your E60 525i/528i/535i/545i/550i and E63 645ci/650i, especially when turning, it's likely the bearings.

The easiest way to verify if it's your wheel bearings is to jack the front of the car, put a hand on top and on the bottom of the wheel in question, and try to see if the wheel has any play. If it does, it's best to change the wheel bearings before they become more than just an annoying sound and leave you stranded on the road.

BMW calls for new mounting bolts at the same time as the new hub. These are part #31206779384 and are a M12x1.5 55mm bolt. Four bolts are required per hub. See Related Items below.
