Our E36 6-Cylinder Euro Oil Filter Housing + Oil Cooler Kit provides everything you need to you to install the Euro E36 M3's oil cooler and filter housing (OFH) in your 6-cylinder E36 3-Series or Z3 (M52/S52). The Euro oil cooler is an efficient way to increase the longevity of your engine and limit temperature-based oil breakdown using the OEM method. While there are other cooler options, none are as easy and have the OEM appearance as this kit. This is a must-have item for turbo and supercharged cars*, and it is very highly recommended for any track car that sees ambient temperatures of 100 degrees or more.

This is a seamless, bolt-on OEM-level upgrade to add oil cooling to the US S52/S50/M50 engines. All parts bolt on so no additional machining or modification is necessary*. The Euro oil filter housing uses the same oil filter as the US cars. The Euro oil cooler adds approximately 0.75 liter of oil capacity. The Euro OFH installs using your original US hardware and your original sensors are also transferred over. With our oil line adapter bolt the housing does not have to be modified.
Radiator options - the cooler hangs below the radiator using tabs that already exist on the radiator frame. All US-spec radiators have the tabs. However, because the cooler will now hang below the radiator, the original US radiator is not the best option to use with a cooler. The MZ3 S54 has a shorter core with more room to tuck the Euro oil cooler underneath. This cooler will fit with either radiator but the MZ3 S54 is better suited for this upgrade.
Because of the location of the heat exchanger for the automatic transmission, fitment is recommended only for cars with a manual transmission.
* the factory rubber lines may interfere with supercharger belt or with turbo piping or intercooler. In these scenarios you may want to custom-make lines using PTFE or stainless and -AN fittings. Contact us for a oil filter housing + cooler package without lines.
