The 8 valve M10 engine was used in many classic 2002, 2002tii, E21 320i (1977-1983), and E30 318i (1984-1985), while the M30 was found in many 70's and 80's "big six" cylinder cars, such as the E24 633 and 635, the E12 /E28 530i, 533i and 535i, The E34 535i, and the E23/E32 735i and 735iL.
