Schrick 264/256 Camshaft Set - E36 M3, MZ3 (S50/S52)

The Schrick E36 M3 cam set is a budget friendly option for internal engine performance. Schrick has been producing valve train components for BMW engines for decades and knows a thing or two about optimal head flow and performance. This cam set gives a noticeable power increase above 5,000 RPM while only giving up minimal torque. Combined with proper tuning there is nothing better for making peak power gains on S50/S52 while keeping and a smooth idle and low-end torque loss to a minimum.

Camshaft tuning is all about optimizing air/fuel flow for your specific needs. The higher degree will open the valves sooner, deeper into the combustion chamber, and for longer time. Choosing the correct camshaft depends on the rest of your engine specs and goals. More aggressive cams should be paired with appropriate air and fuel upgrades to make full use of their operating specs. Professional installation is required.

1. While new springs may not be required, you must ensure the new valve lift does not fully compress the spring. It may be necessary to shim the spring's installed height.
2. Valve timing and valve opening durations are shown minus the ramps.
3. Valve timing is shown in °Crankshaft in relation to TDC.
4. All valve lift figures are shown without deduction of valve lash, i.e. the actual valve lift is the stated valve lift minus the valve lash. Hydraulic lifters have no lash so the valve lift is the actual valve lift.
