A leak in from this hose is not uncommon and can lead to an oily mess at the front of the engine (not to be mistaken for a oil filter housing leak). Also, low oil flow or pressure can also make the VANOS system slow or unresponsive. Replace this hose at the first sign of a leak. This item includes the upper and lower sealing washers (#32411093596) so it's ready to install.
