Drive and serpentine belts are one of those critical maintenance items that you simply cannot ignore. When one fails it's rarely at a convenient time or place. That's why you need to stay ahead of maintenance items and replace belts before they go bad. This package includes the main drive belt and A/C belt for the 2001-2006 S54 engine.

In addition to the two drive belts this package includes the OEM roller pulleys that are often replaced with the belts - 1 for the hydraulic tensioner and 1 upper guide/idler pulley. A third pulley exists for the A/C pump but is only available with a new tensioner. The pulleys contain bearings that will wear out over time. Generally speaking you should replaced your pulleys on every other belt change (or about every 80,000 miles). It won't do you much good to get the belts removed only to find a seized or worn bearing. The pulleys are also plastic and become brittle over time. If they break, pieces can end up cutting hoses, belts, or damage radiators and engine fans.

Don't defer on your maintenance! It costs you more in the long run to repair damage than it does to prevent it.
