Since the quality of the intake air has a direct affect on performance and efficiency it just makes sense to have a clean air filter. Clogged and dirty filters will prevent good airflow to the engine and the engine computer has no choice but to compensate. To help keep your engine running at its optimum best, always replace or clean your air filter once a year.

This is an OEM air filter used in the E36 323i/325i/328i/M3, E39 528i, and Z3 models, as well as the E46 M3. It can also be used in place of the original charcoal-layered filter used in E46 323i/325i/328i/330i, E39 525i/530i, and Z4 models. The shape and fitment is the same but this filter does not include the charcoal layer and has slightly better airflow.

We only source an OEM supplier for this air filter but the brand may vary depending on stock levels (it's a fast moving item). Our preferred OEM brands for this filter is Bosch. We also have used Hengst, Mahle, and Mann as well, but find the Bosch offers the combination of fitment, OEM quality, and price that outshine other brands. All are original suppliers to BMW for filters and other related parts on your BMW, while the Bosch allows us to pass along slightly more savings than the other brands.
