This complete Genuine BMW oil filter housing fits B58C and B58D engines found in G42 M240i, G20 M340i, M340ix (2019+), G22/G23 M440i, M440ix (2021+), G12 740i, 740ix (2019+), G05 X5 40ix (2019+), G07 X7 40ix (2019+), and G29 Z4 M40i (2019+). It also fits A90/GR Supra.

Not for G42, G20 M340i or G22 M440i with Motorsport Engineering Package.

Tech Note: It is not unusual for the oil filter to break during removal and become stuck in the oil filter housing of the B58 engine.  The BMW dealer recommends replacement of the housing if the filter breaks during removal.  This is to avoid contamination of the engine oil system, which could lead to oil starvation and internal engine damage.  To help prevent the filter issue from happening, we recommend replacing your oil filter more frequently than the dealer-recommended oil service interval.
