*this is a very comprehensive and inclusive package but it's not every nut, bolt, and gasket seal that could be replaced. We have relied on our own service and in-house builds as well as the factory BMW repair guides for accessing these parts. **the factory BMW procedure involves releasing the control arms at the outer hub/knuckle and dropping the subframe with the arms still attached. Others will prefer to remove the arms from the subframe. There are arguments for both but this is the factory-documented way.
Bearing Note: engine bearings are not included in this package. Bearings must be ordered based on the unique code on your crankshaft and cannot be kitted together ahead of time.
Oil Pump Note: we include hardware and the plastic retaining bracket for the oil chain sprocket but nothing else related to the oil pump. To remove the pump to access the rod bearings you have to relieve tension on the oil pump chain and then remove the sprocket from the pump. But that's it. Any additional parts are extra.
Timing Chain Note: rod bearing work should not involve any changes to the crankshaft hub, timing chain, or VANOS. We include a new chain tensioner seal ring if you need to loosen the tension for anything (oil pump chain, etc). But note that any work in the crank hub or timing chain will require additional parts.
