The stock mounts on these cars are fluid filled giving them a hydraulic like absorbency. The issue is when the fluid leaks (or evaporates) from the engine mount, leaving the mount far too flexible and "mushy". Once the engine mount fails, it causes engine shaking, vibration, as well as unwanted driveline twisting. This twisting action will harm the rest of the drivetrain bushings (like transmission and differential mounts) as well as the metal motor mount arms that hold these in place.
