Engine Mount, Meyle - E36 M3, E46 325xi/330xi, E46 M3, E9X M3, Z3, Z4M

This is the stock replacement hydraulic-filled engine mount found in E36 M3, E46 M3, E9X M3, MZ3, and Z4M cars and others. It can be used as the OEM replacement for those models but also as an upgrade on others. This mount is slightly stiffer than the non-M 323i/325i/328i/330i mount but is a direct replacement, making it a great upgrade for street driven E36 and E46 non-M 3-Series cars.

Stock motor mounts are filled with a vibration-dampening fluid giving them a hydraulic like absorbency. Mounts go bad when the fluid leaks or evaporates from the engine mount, leaving a rubber block that is far too flexible and "squishy" to do a proper job of supporting the engine. Once the engine mount fails, it causes engine shaking, vibration, as well as unwanted driveline twisting. This twisting action will harm the rest of the drivetrain bushings (like transmission and differential mounts) as well as the metal motor mount arms that hold these in place. In some cases the engine can twist far enough to cause contact with other components (such as a fan into a radiator or a belt into a hose).
