The original factory software in your BMW has been engineered for emissions compliance and mass market appeal, leaving performance out of the equation. The N52 engine in the E90 325i, E60 525i, and E85 Z4 3.0i is a detuned version of what was available in other models and software tuning is part of the solution to getting that power back.
Our Stage 1 software is for tuning a stock 325i/525i/Z4 or for very basic intake and exhaust mods. Stage 2 software is also available to tune for the popular 330i intake manifold upgrade. In both stages we tune the engine for higher octane fuel. BMW deliberately de-tunes the car for lower octane that we have in the US. This naturally leaves some room for improvement if you only run 91 or higher octane fuel. We tune the ignition, camshaft, and VANOS values to optimize them for better fuel. We also adjust the fuel maps to match the more aggressive timing and remove or raise the artificial torque limiters. Our software produces more horsepower and torque and a smoother-running engine. We don't just tune for full throttle either - there is more torque available in the mid-RPM as well! Throttle response is also improved.

Our custom performance tune for the 325i/525i/Z4 combines these years of BMW performance tuning, racing and track events, and ECU tuning into this fantastic N52 software upgrade.
Our software is installed via the Engine Calibration Interface (ECI) and your Windows laptop (compatible with XP, Win7, Win8, and Win10). The ECI cable is included at this price. Read and email your stock file and a tuned file will be returned to you. This is better than off-the-shelf tunes that never look at your original software.
Notice of Emissions Non-Compliance. This software was developed and tuned on vehicles that retained all emissions controls. It is intended for vehicles with stock and fully functional emissions equipment. However, it has not been submitted nor tested for approval in California. Therefore, it is not legal for use in California on any pollution-controlled motor vehicle.
