New revised tune!
The Epic Motorsport Performance Software for the F10 M5, F12/F13 M6, and F06 M6 GranCoupe blows past all limitations! The Epic M5/M6 tune was developed with BimmerWorld on multiple F10 and F06/F13 cars and is now offered as a full DIY flash using the Engine Calibration Interface (ECI). There is no longer any need to remove your ECU and send it off for a hacky “boot mod”. Our software is easy to install and makes truly scary levels of power and torque and you only need a laptop and our cable for installation.
We spent months on the throttle mapping alone to give a progressive and smooth power gain in the low RPM. There is so much instantaneous torque that launching the car without refining the throttle and torque maps was pointless. In Efficient Mode the car behaves much like stock but with clearly more torque and power. Regular Sport Mode is the sweet spot for our driving preference. But if you really want to unleash it and hold on, Sport Plus mode is still a usable map that will take your breath away. Other refinements have given us smoother clutch engagements because the DCT and engine control units recognize the added torque (something piggyback tuners are unable to communicate).
When we started disassembling and comparing the various stock software versions we gained a lot of insight into how the ECUs control torque and boost. We do not ignore or bypass factory limiters and safeguards designed to protect your engine. Nor do we unintentionally adjust maps or tables that we have a poor understanding of or that induce unknown variables. Epic Motorsport knows there are higher limits that can be safely and reliably achieved thanks to their experience as one of the industry's only true engine tuners. Epic does not produce short-term gains to use in marketing material - our software is a fully developed solution and we don't stop at "really good" or even "great" - our software is exceptional.
Additional features and elements in our software:
- Re-calibrated Sports Display: the iDrive Sport Display has been rescaled to accurately reflect the new power and torque changes
- Exhaust Burble (optional): The car now has a very pleasant exhaust burble when you decelerate off-throttle, and under hard acceleration and then snapping off throttle, the exhaust cracks like a GT racecar. This is more pronounced with each Mode - relatively quiet in Efficient, bigger pop in Sport, and a firecracker snap in Sport Plus. There’s a little extra throttle blip on startup too. This is standard on our Epic tune but can be left to stock by special request.
Increasing performance, whether by software tuning or hardware changes, will accelerate wear and tear throughout the car. Turbos, driveline components, brakes, and especially tires will experience shorter lifespans with the addition of more power and torque. This is not specific to any one product in particular and should be acknowledged and accepted by the purchaser, installer, and user of the product(s). BMW produces vehicles with a compromise among performance, comfort, consumer demand, and warranty obligations. Modifying your car beyond what the factory designed may realize shortcomings in one or more of those areas. BimmerWorld strongly encourages you to drive safely and responsibly and participate in advanced driver training courses.
