Aggressive camshafts for non-M cars give a great mid-upper RPM power boost
Camshaft tuning is all about optimizing air/fuel flow for your specific needs. These aggressive cams for the M54 engine in the E46 325i/330i, E39 525i/530i, and Z3 2.5i/3.0i are built around a fully built motor that needs more air/fuel. These are the most aggressive cams Schrick makes for the M54. Both cams are set up to use the factory hydraulic lifters for valve clearance. However, due to the deep lift valve-piston clearance and valve spring length will need to be checked!
No additional hardware is required although new spring retainers and keepers will be a good idea on high mileage engines. There are many other "while you're in there" parts to do as well so contact us if you have any questions.

Intake Lobe Duration: 272°
Exhaust Lobe Duration: 256°
Intake Valve Lift: 10.9mm
Exhaust Valve Lift: 10.4mm
Intake Valve Lift @ TDC: 0.35-4.85mm
Exhaust Valve Lift @ TDC: 0.65-4.4mm
Intake Valve Timing (IO-IC): 10-82 50-42
Exhaust Valve Timing (EO-EC): 62-14 39-37
1. While new springs may not be required, you must ensure the new valve lift does not fully compress the spring. It may be necessary to shim the spring's installed height.
2. Valve timing and valve opening durations are shown minus the ramps.
3. Valve timing is shown in °Crankshaft in relation to TDC.
4. All valve lift figures are shown without deduction of valve lash, i.e. the actual valve lift is the stated valve lift minus the valve lash. Hydraulic lifters have no lash so the valve lift is the actual valve lift.
