Looking for a stock-type replacement set of turbos with all of the common problem areas fixed? Vargas Turbo has the OEM Plus turbo solution to give you more reliable and capable N54 turbos. Replacement turbos are not just about making more power. The stock turbos have so many problems that it really takes a specialist to tackle all of their deficiencies. While these can be used as a direct replacement, the internal improvements make these capable up to 500whp.

Included:
> Vargas upgraded wastegate arm and bushing
The Vargas rattle kit has much tighter clearances than the originals. The kit uses stainless steel bushings pressed into the housing, new flapper assemblies, wastegate arms, rod ends, and stainless steel c-clips. Flapper is upgraded to 12.6mm (1/2").
> 30% larger thrust bearing
Larger thrust bearing has longer bearing life thanks to more surface area. With the larger TD04 bearing one more problem area of the N54 turbos is virtually eliminated.

Options:
+ Billet 6x6 compressor wheel
+ 2000° ceramic coating

No core charge with the new turbo option!
Rebuilt turbos have a refundable $200 core charge added to the price. The price shown includes the core charge. Used cores must be returned within 30 days.

Turbos are built to order and can take between 1-3 weeks for processing and shipment.

Not for RHD models.

Vargas Turbocharger Technologies (VTT) is an in-depth leader in turbocharger service, maintenance, and performance. VTT has been servicing turbos in a wide range of applications since 1978 and specialize in rebuilds and parts that allow turbos to run more efficiently and reliably (and yes, make more power too). In addition to rebuild services, VTT designs and manufactures upgrades and accessories that help you get more power or make the entire turbo system more reliable.

Are you reusing your original oil supply/return lines?
In some cases, the turbocharger oil lines can be reused.  Careful inspection is highly recommended. Aging oil lines are a common source of leaks. The oil supply and return lines can also become kinked during the turbocharger removal process.  If you suspect that your lines have been bent or damaged, it is wise to replace them preventively. Another reason to replace the N54 oil lines is that the lines can become plugged and restricted by burnt oil residue, causing the turbochargers to overheat and fail.  If you're replacing your turbos, we recommend replacing the oil supply/return lines while you're in there.  See below for BimmerWorld Recommended Related Items.
