Radiator Fan Switch, 80/88 degree - E36, Z3, MZ3

Original 80/88 degree fan speed switch from 1996-1999 E36 318i M44 models but also used for E36 323i/328i/M3 in a fan-delete mod.

For 323i/328i/M3:
Deleting the engine-driven fan frees up horsepower and relies on your electric auxiliary cooling fan for low speed temp control. This switch replaces the original on the side of the radiator and is a lower temp so the aux fan kicks on sooner for each speed. The original is 91/99 degrees C and this one is 80/88 degrees C. This is only part of the fan delete mod and should only be used with the rest of the kit components.

Note: when installed on 6-cylinder models below the small tab on the connector needs to be removed with a razor blade.

This part is manufactured by an aftermarket supplier of European auto parts, including many electrical sensors. While not carrying OEM status, this part follows the design of the original very closely and uses similar materials. An aftermarket part may even have the same TUV approval as its OEM counterpart. The brand may even be OEM to another manufacturer besides BMW. This aftermarket brand has a two year warranty - the same as Genuine BMW and OEM brands.
