Throttle Position Sensor - E9X M3 S65 - 13627841704

The throttle position sensor tells the ECU what position the throttle butterfly valves are in. The S65 V8 relies on throttle position, camshaft position, air temp, and atmospheric pressure to set running conditions. A fault in any one of these systems can affect engine performance and power output. A fault in the sensor, or bad data, may send the system into a fail safe mode and reduce power. There are two TPS sensors on the M3 V8 - one on each bank. 

Note: this issue is separate from the throttle actuator failures that don't move the throttles at all. Unlike the actuators, a TPS fault will not send the car into limp mode.

Supersedes/replaces the older BMW part # 13547838021 (13 54 7 838 021). Buying this one ensures you are getting the latest revision and newest design / manufacturing improvements from BMW.
