This is commonly known as a bottom end gasket set, and includes gaskets and seals for the lower crankcase / engine block. This gasket set is specific to the M42 16 valve 1.8 liter 4 cylinder, used in the E30 318i/318is/318ic models, as well as the early (1992 thru 12/1993) E36 318i/318is models. 

Not for cars before the 1989 model year. 
Not for cars after 12/1993 production date.

If you have a 1994 model you'll need to check your production date first, as there was a changeover in January 1994. This set is ONLY for cars built up to and including December 1993 production dates.
