Valve Cover Gasket Set, Complete, Elring - E46, E39, E60, X5, Z4 2003+

This is the complete Valve Cover Gasket Set for the M54 and M56 engines in the 2003-2005* BMW E46 325i/330i, E39 525i/530i, E60 525i/530i, X5 3.0, and Z4 2.5/3.0 cars. This is a complete gasket set with the main outer valve cover, inner spark plug gasket rings, and outer hardware grommet.

Kit contents:
Outer & Inner valve cover gaskets (BMW #11120030496)
Grommet Seals x 15 (BMW #11121437395)

The valve cover is sealed to the cylinder head with these gaskets and they prevent oil from leaking out of the top of the engine. Oil leaks make the engine bay messy, rob the internals of precious lubrication, and could do damage to external sensors or hardware in the engine bay. Leaks can also affect the internal pressure and vacuum of the valve cover.

Note: the original M54 valve cover is a plastic composite and is known to crack or deform over time. Oil leaks may not be coming from the gaskets and may be due to a failure of the valve cover itself. Complete valve covers with gaskets and hardware are also available and may be a better choice.

This is an OEM Valve Cover Gasket Set for M54 engines manufactured by Elring Klinger - an original supplier to BMW for many gaskets and seals. As an OEM it meets all of BMW's original design, fitment, and performance requirements and is TUV approved. OEM parts are the best alternative to more expensive Original BMW parts because they are virtually identical without the inflated price tag. This part has a two year warranty.

* Fitment note: fits models from 2003-2005 (as well as 2006 E46 325ci/330ci). For pre-2003 models use BMW #11129070990.
