Head Bolt Washer - Many 4/6/8-cylinder BMW Engines

This is the hardened steel washer that sits under the cylinder head bolts on many 1991-2013 BMW engines. The steel washer can typically be reused but it ends up as a 'while you're in there and it's cheap' replacement item. Having a fresh washer with each bolt helps ensure the proper torque specs are met when bolting down the head. 

The applications for this part are varied but cover almost every BMW engine from 1991-2013: M42, M50, M52, M52TU, M54, M60, M62, N62, S50US, S52, S65, and S85. Not used for M20 or any N52/N54/N55 engine. 

Replaces the older / formed BMW part number 11121265388 (11 12 1 265 388).
