The S55 intake manifold is sealed to the cylinder head with this gasket. Never use a damaged gasket and reusing old gaskets is an invitation for trouble later on. Leaks from a bad gasket will allow unmetered and unfiltered air into the engine, which can cause poor running, stumbling, throttle surges, and misfires. This is a Genuine BMW gasket with a two year warranty.
