Oil Cooler Line-to-Oil Filter Housing O-Ring - E9X M3

E90/E92/E93 M3 oil leaks on the front of the engine could be coming from the oil cooler lines meeting the oil filter housing. These rubber o-rings will harden and shrink over time, which lets oil slip past. This is a new Genuine BMW oil line o-ring to stop the leak. These should also be replaced any time the oil line and housing are separated (do not re-use old o-rings).

Note: oil leaks in this area may also be caused by the oil filter housing gasket (BMW part #11427838276). It may be difficult to distinguish where the leak is coming from. The oil cooler line o-rings are easier to replace and see if the leak stops but be prepared that the filter housing gasket is the more likely source.
