Oil Filter Housing with Cap Filter and Gaskets - B46 B48 Engine

This is an original BMW engine oil filter housing for the B46 and B48 4 cylinder engine, which comes complete with the oil filter cap, oil filter, as well as gaskets.

A cracked and leaking oil filter housing is a fairly common problem on F22/F23 230i, 230ix (2017+), F30/F31/F36 330i, 330ix (2017+), F32/F33/F34 430i, 430ix (2017+), G30 530i, 530ix (2017-2019), G01 X3 30i, 30ix (2018-2019), and G02 X4 30i, 30ix (2019).

Fitment note: 530i, X1/X2, or X3/X4 only up to 2019 model year (not for 2020+).

By ordering this part, you are receiving the latest version of this Genuine BMW part. BMW has superseded the part # and design a few times since 2017. This part can fail in more than one way. A common one is for the internal flange that holds the gasket(s) in place (internally) can crack/snap, allowing the gasket to essentially escape from where it belongs, causing either an internal or external leak. The only remedy when this happens is to buy a new oil filter housing assembly and replace the entire unit.
