BMW puts these gasket sets together to aid in replacing the head gaskets on the N63TU engines in the 2014-2016 F10 550i, 2013-2018 F06/F12/F13 650i, 2013-2015 F01/F02 750i, 2014-2018 F15 X5 50i, 2014-2019 F16 X6 50i. This gasket set is for the later 444hp N63TU engines, not the earlier 402hp N63 engine.

Instead of buying only the head gaskets, this kit includes all of the other gaskets and seals needed to do the job. It also makes a great overhaul kit for any top end work as it includes turbo oil and cooling line seals, crankcase vent gaskets, high pressure fuel system gaskets, and more. See the complete list below. Note that BMW put this kit together to fit multiple years and models and some extra parts may be included that you won't use. Additional parts such as the head gaskets, head bolts, other hardware, sensors, and hoses are sold separately. Unfortunately on the N63TU, this kit is probably not everything you will want to replace...

Symptoms of head gasket failure include: white residue (tapioca) in the valve cover, under the oil filler cap, and in drained oil, low coolant (not caused by failure in cooling system), low oil, oil leak onto exhaust manifold, and loss of power from loss of compression. Cooling system trouble on the N63TU must be addressed quickly as an aluminum head is easily damaged if overheating occurs.

This is a Genuine BMW N63TU top-end gasket set with a two year warranty. Buying a Genuine part will usually be more expensive than an OEM or aftermarket brand but you are assured that it meets BMW's designs for fitment, performance, and longevity. It will also be the very latest design, incorporating any updates or revisions that an aftermarket brand typically will ignore.
