This unique screw is used to secure the oil separator on the S65 V8 engine, as used in the E9X M3, including the E90 M3 sedan, E92 M3 coupe and E93 M3 convertible models. The CCVV (crankcase vent valve) for each cylinder head is held in with this non-standard M6X16mm torx head bolt. BMW recommends replacing them whenever the CCV is removed.
If you are replacing your oil separator / CCV on either bank of your S65 V8 (either left bank cylinders 1-4 or right bank cylinders 5-8) you will probably need some of these torx screws.
Sold individually. There are four torx screws per side/bank (8 total per engine). Be sure to order either 4 or 8, depending on your needs.
