Distributor Cap - 2002 (1975-1976) & E21 320i 1977-1979 - 12111363423

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 12111363423 and is described as ignition distributor cap, as used on the early E21 320i 4 cylinder models (1977, 1978, 1979) as well as the last two years of the Classic BMW 2002, covering the 1975 and 1976 model years of 2002 (non-injected). 

Aside from the early models of 320i and late 2002, this distributor cap was also used on European 1502 models (similar to the classic 2002 offered in the USA.) It also replaces an older former BMW part number 12111359874 (12 11 1 359 874) as well. 

The distributor cap is a critical component of the spark and ignition system of the M10 4 cylinder engine, with this cap being used in 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, and 1979. When the cap goes bad, you may get misfires or no spark at all to the cylinders.
