Mechanical Belt Tensioner, BMW - E70 X5 3.0si

This is the mechanical belt tensioner used on the 6-cylinder 2007-2010 E70 X5 3.0si.

The tensioner keeps the A/C belt at the proper tension. A failing tensioner will allow the belt to loosen or slip resulting in diminished performance. In extreme cases the belt can slip off the pulleys. As a preventative maintenance plan, we recommend replacing the tensioner at every belt change, or 40,000-60,000 miles.

A new Torx mounting bolt (part #11287545753) is included.
