This is the main drive belt (serpentine belt) for the S54 engine (E46 M3, MZ3, Z4M) and the S65 engine (E90, E92, E93 M3). The size is 6PKx1460 and it's made by ContiTech, the original supplier to BMW for drive belts. Its function differs depending on the engine -

S54 = water pump, power steering pump, and alternator
S65 = water pump and alternator

If you are replacing your belts as part of a preventative maintenance plan, also consider replacing other belts, pulleys and belt tensioners.
