Valve Cover Gasket Set, VR - E36 328i/M3, E39 528i, Z3, MZ3, M52, S52

This is a aftermarket valve cover gasket set for E36 323i/328i/M3, 1997-1998 E39 528i, 1997-1998 Z3 2.8, and MZ3 S52 models with the M52 or S52 engine. The valve cover is sealed to the cylinder head with these gaskets and they prevent oil from leaking out of the top of the engine. Oil leaks make the engine bay messy, rob the internals of precious lubrication, and could do damage to external sensors or hardware in the engine bay. Leaks can also affect the internal pressure and vacuum of the valve cover.

Note that this set includes the outer valve cover gasket but not the outer cap nut washers. They are not required replacement items and rarely the source of leaks. They are sold separately.

This part is manufactured by an aftermarket supplier of European auto parts, including many gasket components. While not carrying OEM status, this part follows the design of the original very closely and uses similar materials. An aftermarket part may even have the same TUV approval as its OEM counterpart. The brand may even be OEM to another manufacturer besides BMW. This aftermarket brand has a two year warranty - the same as Genuine BMW and OEM brands.
