This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 11657635803 (11 65 7 635 803) and is described as At-Turbo Charger for BMW N20/N26 4 cylinder 2.0 liter Turbocharged engine, as used in many F30 3 Series (320i, 328i), F10 5 Series (528i), E89 Z4 28i Roadster, F25 X3 28i xDrive and X1 28i xDrive. This turbo is for cars that came equipped with the mechanical waste gate (and NOT the electric waste gate used on later production cars).

Wait! Before you buy…  
Have you considered a modest upgrade instead of a fully stock replacement? Mitsubishi makes an upgraded slightly larger version of this N20/N26 turbo known as a “big turbo”, which can be made to work GREAT with these early mechanical wastegate version cars. There are no downsides, whether you car is on fully stock tuning or tuned up for added power. The “big turbo” upgrade version flows more efficiently, can handle more power (if desired) and works much less hard on either a stock or tuned car due to the larger turbines and improved efficiency and heat management. Best of all, it's only slightly more than this stock unit!
