Turbo Install Kit, Basic - E70 X5M, E71 X6M, S63

Swapping turbos on the S63 V8 in E70 X5M and E71 X6M will require some seals, gaskets, and hardware to complete the job. This is a basic set of gaskets and hardware for the ace DIYer who doesn't need or want to replace everything or may have additional hardware on hand. We followed the factory BMW replacement guidelines, with some modification, and added a few other parts that we think will make the job smoother.

Note 1: this is a basic kit. It does not include everything that could be replaced. See additional parts or other kits that are more inclusive under the Related Items below. Also, you may not need everything listed above. We tried to create a mix of mandatory items with some that are good to have on hand.

Note 2: BMW calls for replacing the oil return pipes at the bottom of each turbo. See Related Items below.

Note 3: BMW calls for replacing the vacuum lines to each wastegate. However, these are over $30 each for a length of simple 3.5mm vacuum hose. You may want to source this elsewhere or separately. BMW does color code them (Red and Blue) so don't mix up the hose to each wastegate.

Don't forget to prime your turbos with engine oil before running the engine!

All parts are from original suppliers to BMW for many other gaskets and hardware. As OEM they meet all of BMW's original design, fitment, and performance requirements and are TUV approved. OEM parts are the best alternative to more expensive Original BMW parts because they are virtually identical without the inflated price tag. This part has a two year warranty.
